Shipping policy

Yes. I’ll keep the operating model consistent: Mond Diamonds is the retailer; products are supplied to Mond Diamonds first, and Mond Diamonds then sends orders to customers. Returns will be handled through Mond Diamonds or, where appropriate, an authorised UK jewellery partner. The partner arrangement is TBC, so I won't name or promise a specific partner yet.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

1. HOW MOND DIAMONDS FULFILS ORDERS

Mond Diamonds operates as a direct-to-consumer diamond and jewellery retailer.

Products may be sourced from specialist suppliers and manufacturers. Where applicable, products are first delivered to Mond Diamonds for processing before being sent to the customer.

This allows us to carry out appropriate checks and prepare the order for secure delivery.

Depending on the product and order, we may:

  • Receive the diamond or jewellery from our supplier;

  • Check the product against the order;

  • Check relevant documentation and certificates;

  • Prepare the product for dispatch;

  • Package the product securely; and

  • Arrange delivery to the customer.

For certain orders, we may use an authorised UK jewellery or fulfilment partner to assist with inspection, preparation, delivery or returns.

Where a partner is used, Mond Diamonds remains responsible for the customer relationship and applicable obligations under the customer's contract with Mond Diamonds.

2. DELIVERY DESTINATIONS

Mond Diamonds aims to deliver to customers in the United Kingdom and internationally.

Delivery availability may depend on:

  • Destination country;

  • Product type;

  • Product value;

  • Customs requirements;

  • Courier availability;

  • Insurance availability;

  • Sanctions or legal restrictions; and

  • Other security or regulatory requirements.

Some countries, regions or addresses may not be eligible for delivery.

If we cannot deliver to your requested destination, we will contact you where appropriate.

3. UK DELIVERY

We offer delivery to addresses throughout the United Kingdom where available.

UK delivery options and estimated delivery times will be displayed during checkout or communicated to you following your order.

Delivery times can vary depending on whether your product is:

  • In stock;

  • Made to order;

  • Bespoke;

  • Personalised;

  • Awaiting certification;

  • Awaiting supplier processing; or

  • Subject to additional security checks.

4. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

We may deliver to customers outside the United Kingdom.

International deliveries can take longer than UK deliveries because of:

  • Customs clearance;

  • Import procedures;

  • Local delivery networks;

  • Security checks;

  • Customs documentation;

  • Local holidays;

  • Weather;

  • Courier delays; and

  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Estimated international delivery times are estimates only unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed delivery date.

5. ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES

Any delivery timeframe shown on our website is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.

The estimated delivery period may begin once:

  1. Your order has been accepted;

  2. Payment has been successfully processed;

  3. Any required verification has been completed; and

  4. The product is ready for dispatch.

Where a product is made to order or bespoke, the stated production period may apply before the delivery period begins.

6. MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTS

Some Mond Diamonds jewellery is manufactured following the placement of an order.

Made-to-order products may require additional production time before they can be dispatched.

The estimated production period will be shown on the relevant product page or communicated to you where applicable.

The production period is separate from the delivery period unless otherwise stated.

7. BESPOKE AND PERSONALISED ORDERS

Bespoke and personalised jewellery may require additional time for:

  • Design;

  • Approval;

  • Manufacturing;

  • Engraving;

  • Setting;

  • Quality control; and

  • Final preparation.

The expected timeframe will depend on the specifications of the order.

We will communicate material delays where reasonably possible.

8. DIAMOND CERTIFICATION

Where a diamond is supplied with a laboratory certificate or grading report, the certification process may affect the overall fulfilment time.

This may include certificates from laboratories such as:

  • GIA;

  • IGI; or

  • Other recognised gemological laboratories.

Where applicable, the estimated availability or delivery timeframe will take certification into account.

9. ORDER PROCESSING

After you place an order, we may carry out:

  • Payment verification;

  • Fraud-prevention checks;

  • Identity verification where required;

  • Product availability checks;

  • Supplier confirmation;

  • Compliance checks where applicable; and

  • Order processing.

For high-value orders, additional verification may be required before we proceed with fulfilment.

This is intended to protect both Mond Diamonds and our customers.

10. HIGH-VALUE ORDERS

Because we sell high-value diamonds and jewellery, enhanced security measures may be used for certain orders.

Depending on the value and nature of an order, we may require:

  • Identity verification;

  • Address verification;

  • Payment verification;

  • Additional security checks;

  • Signature on delivery;

  • Secure delivery services; or

  • Other reasonable measures.

These measures may occasionally increase the time required to process an order.

11. SECURE DELIVERY

High-value diamond and jewellery orders may be sent using a secure, tracked and appropriately insured delivery service.

Depending on the destination and value of the order, delivery may require:

  • A signature;

  • Identification;

  • Delivery to a specified address;

  • Additional verification; or

  • Other security measures.

Delivery arrangements may vary depending on the product and destination.

12. DELIVERY ADDRESS

You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address.

Before submitting your order, please check that your:

  • Name;

  • House/building number;

  • Street;

  • City;

  • Postcode;

  • Country; and

  • Contact telephone number

are correct.

Mond Diamonds is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer, subject to your statutory rights.

13. CHANGING A DELIVERY ADDRESS

If you need to change your delivery address after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible:

sales@mond.diamonds

We will try to accommodate the request where possible.

However, once an order has entered fulfilment or has been dispatched, we may be unable to change the delivery address.

For high-value orders, additional verification may be required before an address change is accepted.

14. SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY

Certain orders may require a signature on delivery.

This may be particularly important for:

  • High-value diamonds;

  • Engagement rings;

  • Fine jewellery;

  • Bespoke jewellery; and

  • Other high-value products.

Where a signature is required, the carrier may not leave the package unattended.

15. DELIVERY TO THIRD PARTIES

For security reasons, high-value products may only be delivered to the address specified during the order process.

We may restrict delivery to:

  • Alternative addresses;

  • Neighbours;

  • Parcel lockers;

  • Unattended locations; or

  • Other third parties

where this could create a security risk.

16. TRACKING

Where tracking is available, we will provide tracking information when appropriate.

Tracking information may be provided by:

  • Email;

  • Customer account;

  • Delivery provider; or

  • Another appropriate communication method.

Tracking information is supplied for convenience and may be updated by the carrier.

17. DELIVERY DELAYS

We aim to deliver products within the estimated timeframe provided.

However, delays can occasionally occur due to:

  • Courier disruption;

  • Customs processing;

  • Severe weather;

  • Supplier delays;

  • Manufacturing delays;

  • Certification delays;

  • Security checks;

  • Incorrect delivery information;

  • Public holidays;

  • Transport disruption; or

  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If we become aware of a material delay, we will take reasonable steps to inform you.

18. UK LEGAL DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

For UK consumer purchases, where no specific delivery period has been agreed, goods will generally be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being entered into, subject to applicable law.

Where a specific delivery date or timeframe has been agreed and delivery does not occur as required by law, you may have rights to cancel the contract or obtain another appropriate remedy.

Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

19. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS

International orders may be subject to customs procedures.

When an order enters another country, the relevant customs authority may require:

  • Customs declarations;

  • Import documentation;

  • Identification;

  • Tax information;

  • Product information; or

  • Other information.

Customs processing may delay delivery.

Mond Diamonds cannot control the processing time of foreign customs authorities.

20. IMPORT DUTIES AND TAXES

International orders may be subject to:

  • Import duties;

  • VAT;

  • Sales tax;

  • Customs fees;

  • Brokerage charges;

  • Handling fees; or

  • Other charges imposed by the destination country.

Where these charges are collected by Mond Diamonds at checkout, this will be indicated where applicable.

Where they are not collected at checkout, the customer may be required to pay them directly to the relevant authority or delivery provider.

21. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPORT REQUIREMENTS

International customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order can legally be imported into their country.

Before ordering, customers should consider:

  • Import restrictions;

  • Local taxes;

  • Customs requirements;

  • Duties;

  • Certification requirements; and

  • Any other local regulations.

Mond Diamonds will provide reasonable information and documentation required for the shipment where appropriate.

22. CUSTOMS DOCUMENTATION

Mond Diamonds may provide information required for international shipping and customs clearance.

This may include:

  • Product description;

  • Product value;

  • Country of origin information where applicable;

  • Invoice information;

  • Product classification; and

  • Other legally required information.

Customers must not request that Mond Diamonds falsify or understate the value, nature or description of a shipment.

23. FAILED DELIVERY

If a delivery cannot be completed because:

  • The customer is unavailable;

  • The delivery address is incorrect;

  • The customer refuses delivery;

  • Required identification is unavailable;

  • Customs charges are not paid;

  • Customs clearance cannot be completed; or

  • The carrier cannot safely complete delivery,

the product may be returned to Mond Diamonds or the relevant carrier facility.

Additional delivery arrangements may then be required.

Any additional charges will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the delivery failure.

24. DELIVERY ACCEPTANCE

When receiving a high-value diamond or jewellery order, we recommend that you:

  • Check the external packaging;

  • Check for visible signs of damage;

  • Confirm that the package appears intact;

  • Retain delivery documentation; and

  • Contact us promptly if there is an issue.

If the packaging appears seriously damaged or tampered with, please notify the carrier where appropriate and contact Mond Diamonds as soon as possible.

25. DAMAGED DELIVERIES

If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

sales@mond.diamonds

Where possible, retain:

  • The original packaging;

  • Shipping packaging;

  • Photographs;

  • Delivery documentation;

  • Tracking information; and

  • The product in the condition in which it arrived.

Please do not attempt to repair, alter or modify the product before contacting us.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

26. LOST ORDERS

If your order appears to have been lost during delivery, contact us at:

sales@mond.diamonds

We will investigate the delivery with the relevant carrier.

For high-value products, additional investigation and verification may be required.

We will provide the remedy required by applicable law.

27. DELIVERY CONFIRMATION

Delivery providers may provide confirmation that a shipment has been delivered.

For high-value orders, we may use additional delivery verification measures.

A delivery confirmation does not automatically prevent a customer from reporting that goods were not received.

We will investigate delivery disputes appropriately.

28. PRODUCTS RETURNED TO MOND DIAMONDS

Where a customer is required to return a product, Mond Diamonds will provide appropriate return instructions.

Returns may be directed to:

  • Mond Diamonds; or

  • An authorised UK jewellery partner.

The use of an authorised jewellery partner is subject to availability and may be introduced or changed by Mond Diamonds from time to time.

Customers should not send returns to an address unless Mond Diamonds has specifically authorised that address.

Our registered office is:

128 City Road
London
United Kingdom
EC1V 2NX

This is not necessarily our returns processing address.

29. HIGH-VALUE RETURNS

Because diamonds and jewellery can have substantial value, Mond Diamonds may require returns to be:

  • Fully tracked;

  • Appropriately insured;

  • Professionally packaged;

  • Sent using a specified carrier; and

  • Sent to a designated secure return location.

Specific return instructions will be provided where necessary.

30. DELIVERY AND RETURNS THROUGH UK JEWELLERY PARTNERS

Mond Diamonds may use authorised UK jewellery partners to assist with:

  • Product inspection;

  • Customer appointments;

  • Returns;

  • Authentication;

  • Jewellery services;

  • Repairs;

  • Resizing; or

  • Other fulfilment-related services.

The use of a partner will depend on the product, location and circumstances.

Where a partner is used for a Mond Diamonds order, this does not automatically make the partner the seller of the product.

31. DELIVERY TO JEWELLERS OR PROFESSIONAL ADDRESSES

Where appropriate, Mond Diamonds may permit delivery to an authorised jewellery professional or other approved location.

Additional verification may be required for high-value orders.

32. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES FOR RETURNS AND REPLACEMENTS

Where a product is being returned for inspection, repair, replacement or another remedy, the timeframe will depend on:

  • The nature of the issue;

  • Product availability;

  • Supplier or manufacturer requirements;

  • Inspection;

  • Certification;

  • Shipping; and

  • Applicable legal requirements.

We will keep customers informed where reasonably possible.

33. DELIVERY OF BESPOKE PRODUCTS

Bespoke products may require longer delivery periods due to:

  • Design;

  • Customer approval;

  • Manufacturing;

  • Sourcing;

  • Setting;

  • Engraving;

  • Certification; and

  • Quality control.

An estimated timeframe will be provided where possible.

34. ORDERS CONTAINING MULTIPLE PRODUCTS

Where an order contains multiple products with different estimated delivery dates, we may:

  • Ship the products separately; or

  • Ship the complete order together.

Where additional delivery charges would apply, these will be communicated where required.

35. DELIVERY CHARGES

Applicable delivery charges will be displayed during checkout where possible.

Delivery charges may depend on:

  • Destination;

  • Order value;

  • Product type;

  • Delivery method;

  • Insurance requirements; and

  • Security requirements.

Any applicable delivery charge will be communicated before you complete your purchase.

36. FREE DELIVERY

Where Mond Diamonds offers free delivery, the applicable delivery method and geographical restrictions will be communicated at the time of the offer.

Free delivery does not necessarily mean that all premium, express or specialist delivery services are free.

37. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY RESTRICTIONS

We reserve the right to restrict delivery to particular destinations where necessary because of:

  • Legal restrictions;

  • Sanctions;

  • Customs restrictions;

  • Insurance restrictions;

  • Courier restrictions;

  • Security concerns;

  • Fraud risks; or

  • Other legitimate business or regulatory reasons.

If an order cannot be delivered to the selected destination, we will contact you where appropriate and provide any refund required by law.

38. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

Mond Diamonds is not responsible for delivery delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather;

  • Natural disasters;

  • War;

  • Terrorism;

  • Civil unrest;

  • Government action;

  • Customs delays;

  • Strikes;

  • Courier disruption;

  • Transport disruption;

  • Cyber incidents;

  • Supplier disruption;

  • Manufacturing delays; or

  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

This does not affect statutory consumer rights.

  • Changes to our suppliers;

  • Changes to our logistics partners;
