Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at sales@mond.diamonds.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

You can always contact us for any return question at sales@mond.diamonds.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at sales@mond.diamonds.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 24 August 2026

At Mond Diamonds, we want you to purchase with confidence. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights and our procedures for cancellations, returns, refunds, faulty products and personalised or bespoke jewellery.

Mond Diamonds is a UK-based online diamond retailer operated by Bossy Inc Ltd.

Registered Office:
128 City Road
London
United Kingdom
EC1V 2NX

Email: sales@mond.diamonds
Website: mond.diamonds

This policy applies to purchases made through the Mond Diamonds website.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or limits any statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

1. Your Statutory Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose or otherwise fail to conform to the contract.

For UK customers, these rights include those provided under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, where applicable.

Your statutory rights are separate from any voluntary returns policy we may offer.

Nothing in this policy affects those rights.

2. UK Online Orders — Change of Mind

If you are a UK consumer purchasing goods from Mond Diamonds online, you generally have a statutory right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

You normally have 14 calendar days from the day after you receive the goods to notify us that you wish to cancel.

Once you have notified us, you generally have a further 14 calendar days to return the goods to us.

You do not have to provide a reason for exercising your statutory cancellation right.

Where an order contains multiple products delivered separately, the cancellation period generally runs from the day after you receive the final product.

3. How to Cancel Your Order

To exercise your cancellation right, you should contact us clearly stating that you wish to cancel your order.

You can contact:

Email: sales@mond.diamonds

Please include:

  • Your full name

  • Order number

  • Product(s) being returned

  • Delivery date

  • Your contact details

You may use the following wording:

I hereby give notice that I wish to cancel my contract for the purchase of the following goods: [product/order number]. My name is [name] and my order number is [order number].

You do not have to use this wording. Any clear statement communicating your decision to cancel will generally be sufficient.

4. Returning the Product

After notifying us of your cancellation, you must return the goods without undue delay and generally within 14 days of notifying us.

Because Mond Diamonds sells high-value diamonds and jewellery, we may provide specific instructions for returning an item.

Do not send a diamond, gemstone or item of jewellery to an address unless Mond Diamonds has specifically authorised that return address.

For high-value products, we strongly recommend using the return method and carrier specified by Mond Diamonds.

The returned item should be:

  • securely packaged;

  • appropriately insured;

  • fully trackable;

  • accompanied by the relevant return documentation; and

  • returned with certificates, reports, accessories and packaging where applicable.

5. Return Costs

Where you exercise your statutory cancellation right because you have changed your mind, you are generally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless:

  • Mond Diamonds has agreed to pay the return cost;

  • the product is faulty, damaged or not as described; or

  • applicable law requires us to pay the return cost.

We will not unlawfully charge you for exercising a statutory right.

6. Condition of Returned Goods

You are entitled to examine goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality in a way that would reasonably be permitted in a physical shop.

However, if you handle the goods beyond what is reasonably necessary and their value is reduced as a result, we may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund to reflect that reduction in value, where permitted by law.

For diamonds and jewellery, this may include circumstances where the product has been:

  • worn;

  • damaged;

  • scratched;

  • altered;

  • resized;

  • engraved;

  • polished;

  • repaired;

  • modified;

  • mounted or remounted;

  • exposed to chemicals or substances causing damage; or

  • otherwise handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product.

Any deduction will be assessed in accordance with applicable law.

We will not make an arbitrary deduction simply because an item has been opened or inspected.

7. Diamond Certificates and Documentation

Where a diamond is supplied with a laboratory certificate or grading report, the certificate should be returned with the diamond.

This may include certificates issued by recognised gemological laboratories such as GIA, IGI or other laboratories specified on the product listing.

Where applicable, the product may also contain identifying information, including:

  • laser inscriptions;

  • serial numbers;

  • security marks;

  • product identification numbers; or

  • other identifying characteristics.

Returned diamonds and jewellery may be inspected to verify that the item returned corresponds with the item originally supplied.

8. Bespoke, Custom-Made and Personalised Products

Certain products are excluded from the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right.

This can include goods that are:

  • made to the customer's specifications;

  • clearly personalised;

  • individually manufactured;

  • specially engraved;

  • substantially altered at the customer's request; or

  • otherwise genuinely bespoke or custom-made.

UK legislation recognises an exception for certain bespoke and customised goods.

Examples may include:

  • a ring manufactured to a customer's unique design;

  • bespoke jewellery;

  • personalised engraving;

  • jewellery substantially modified at the customer's request;

  • a custom-designed setting;

  • a bespoke combination of materials or gemstones.

However, not every product with selectable options is automatically bespoke.

For example, selecting a standard ring size or choosing from standard options offered on our website does not necessarily mean that the product is legally considered bespoke.

We will determine whether a product falls within the applicable exception based on the circumstances of the individual order and applicable law.

This section does not affect your rights if a bespoke or personalised product is faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fails to comply with the contract.

9. Made-to-Order Jewellery

Some Mond Diamonds jewellery may be manufactured specifically following an order.

A product being described as "made to order" does not automatically mean that you lose your statutory cancellation rights.

Where an item is genuinely made to your individual specifications or clearly personalised, the statutory change-of-mind cancellation exemption may apply.

Where an item is simply manufactured after you place a standard order without being individually customised, your statutory rights may still apply.

We will make this distinction based on the nature of the product and the applicable law.

10. Engraved Products

Products that have been engraved or otherwise personalised at your request may not qualify for the statutory change-of-mind cancellation right.

Before placing an order for personalised engraving, you should ensure that the information supplied to us is correct.

This does not affect your statutory rights where the product is faulty or does not conform to the contract.

11. Loose Diamonds

Standard, non-personalised loose diamonds purchased online may generally be eligible for statutory cancellation rights for UK consumers.

The diamond must be returned in accordance with this policy.

A loose diamond may not qualify for the change-of-mind cancellation right where it has been:

  • specially cut or modified to your specifications;

  • treated at your request;

  • specially sourced under individual specifications where the applicable legal exemption applies; or

  • otherwise customised specifically for you.

Where a diamond is faulty, misdescribed or otherwise does not conform to the contract, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

12. Diamonds Set Into Jewellery

Where you purchase a diamond as part of a standard jewellery product, the applicable cancellation rights will depend on the nature of the product and whether it has been personalised or made specifically to your requirements.

Where you ask us to create or substantially modify jewellery specifically for you, the product may fall within the applicable bespoke/customisation exemption.

We will not rely on this exemption simply because an ordinary standard product was ordered online.

13. Faulty, Damaged or Misdescribed Products

If your product is:

  • faulty;

  • damaged;

  • not as described;

  • not fit for its intended purpose; or

  • otherwise does not conform to the contract,

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

UK consumer law provides remedies for faulty goods, which may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances.

These rights are not the same as your change-of-mind cancellation rights.

We will assess the issue and provide the appropriate remedy required by applicable law.

14. Products Damaged in Transit

If your product arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where possible, retain:

  • the original packaging;

  • delivery packaging;

  • photographs of the package;

  • photographs of the damage;

  • photographs of the product;

  • delivery documentation; and

  • any other relevant evidence.

Please do not attempt to repair or alter a damaged product before contacting us.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

15. Refunds

If you validly exercise your statutory cancellation right, Mond Diamonds will refund the relevant payment in accordance with applicable law.

For UK statutory cancellations, this generally includes:

  • the price paid for the goods; and

  • the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered by us.

If you selected an upgraded or premium delivery service, we generally only need to refund the amount equivalent to our standard delivery option.

Where legally permitted, we may deduct an amount reflecting any reduction in the value of the goods caused by handling beyond what was reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality.

16. When We Will Issue Your Refund

For UK statutory cancellations, we will generally issue the refund within 14 days of the applicable date required by law.

This will generally be the earlier of:

  1. the day we receive the returned goods; or

  2. the day you provide evidence that the goods have been returned,

subject to the applicable legal requirements.

For high-value products, we may need to inspect and authenticate the returned product. This does not give us the right to unlawfully delay a refund.

17. Method of Refund

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed to another method or applicable law requires otherwise.

We will not normally charge you a fee for processing a statutory refund.

18. High-Value Returns

Mond Diamonds specialises in high-value diamonds and jewellery.

For security and fraud-prevention purposes, we may require certain high-value products to be returned using:

  • a designated carrier;

  • an insured service;

  • a trackable service;

  • a specific return address; or

  • another secure return method.

We will provide appropriate instructions when a return is authorised.

Please do not send a high-value product to our registered office unless we have expressly instructed you to do so.

Our registered office is:

128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX

This address is not necessarily our returns processing address.

19. Return Inspection and Authentication

Due to the nature and value of diamonds and jewellery, returned products may undergo inspection.

This may include checking:

  • the diamond or gemstone;

  • laboratory certification;

  • laser inscription;

  • serial numbers;

  • security markings;

  • measurements;

  • weight;

  • condition;

  • setting;

  • metal;

  • engraving;

  • product specifications; and

  • correspondence with the original product supplied.

This process is intended to protect both our customers and Mond Diamonds against fraud, substitution and accidental misidentification.

Inspection will not remove or restrict any statutory consumer rights.

20. Missing Certificates or Accessories

Where a product was supplied with a certificate, report, box, documentation, accessory or other component, please return these with the product.

If something is missing or damaged, we will assess whether this has caused a legally recoverable reduction in value.

We will not automatically refuse a statutory return solely because packaging has been opened.

21. Fraudulent or Substituted Returns

Mond Diamonds takes fraudulent returns seriously.

If we have reasonable grounds to believe that:

  • a different diamond or item has been returned;

  • an item has been intentionally substituted;

  • a product has been deliberately damaged;

  • identifying marks have been removed or altered;

  • documentation has been falsified; or

  • a return involves fraudulent activity,

we may investigate the matter and take appropriate action.

Nothing in this section permits us to unlawfully refuse a legitimate statutory remedy.

22. Exchanges

We may offer an exchange where appropriate.

However, an exchange does not replace or remove any statutory right you may have to cancel an online purchase or obtain a remedy for faulty goods.

Bespoke and personalised products may not be eligible for exchange where permitted by law.

23. International Orders

Mond Diamonds accepts orders from customers outside the UK.

International customers may have consumer protection rights under the mandatory laws of the country in which they reside.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit mandatory rights that apply to you under the laws of your country.

Where the laws of your country provide greater or different mandatory consumer protection than this policy, those mandatory rights will apply to the extent required by law.

For international orders, you should contact us before returning a product so that we can provide the correct return instructions.

24. International Return Costs

For international change-of-mind returns, the customer is generally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless:

  • Mond Diamonds agrees otherwise;

  • the goods are faulty;

  • the goods are not as described;

  • the goods were damaged before delivery; or

  • applicable law requires Mond Diamonds to pay the return costs.

Where local law provides a different rule, the applicable mandatory law will prevail.

25. International Customs and Taxes

International returns may be subject to customs declarations, import/export procedures, duties or taxes.

Customers must follow the return instructions provided by Mond Diamonds.

Where appropriate, we may provide documentation to support the return shipment.

We cannot guarantee that foreign customs authorities will automatically refund import taxes or duties.

Customers should not incorrectly declare the value or nature of a returned diamond or jewellery item.

26. Refunds of International Taxes and Duties

Where taxes, duties or import charges were collected as part of an international transaction, the treatment of those amounts may depend on:

  • the country of delivery;

  • the country of return;

  • how the original shipment was imported;

  • the applicable customs regime;

  • the payment method; and

  • local tax law.

Mond Diamonds will refund amounts that we are legally required to refund.

Import duties, local taxes or other charges paid directly to a customs authority or third party may need to be reclaimed from that authority rather than from Mond Diamonds.

27. International Consumer Rights

Mond Diamonds sells internationally and recognises that consumer laws differ between countries.

We will comply with applicable mandatory consumer protection requirements in the markets in which we sell.

Nothing in this policy requires an international consumer to waive a mandatory legal right.

Where a local law gives you a right that cannot legally be excluded by contract, that right will continue to apply.

28. Products Purchased for Business Use

The statutory consumer cancellation rights described in this policy generally apply to consumers purchasing goods for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession.

Different contractual terms may apply to purchases made by businesses or other non-consumer customers.

If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, please contact us if you require clarification before ordering.

29. Sale and Discounted Products

Sale and discounted products have the same statutory rights as products sold at full price.

A product being discounted does not remove your legal rights where the product is faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fails to comply with applicable consumer law.

30. Cancellation Before Dispatch

If you change your mind shortly after placing an order, contact us immediately at:

sales@mond.diamonds

We will make reasonable efforts to stop an order before it enters fulfilment or production.

However, if a product has already been:

  • manufactured;

  • personalised;

  • engraved;

  • substantially customised;

  • specially sourced; or

  • otherwise committed to production specifically for you,

the applicable rules for bespoke/customised products may apply.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

31. Products That Cannot Be Returned for Other Legal Reasons

Certain categories of goods may be excluded from statutory cancellation rights under applicable legislation.

If such an exclusion applies to a Mond Diamonds product, we will provide the relevant information before you purchase the product.

We will not attempt to apply an exemption that does not legally apply.

32. Return of Gifts

Statutory cancellation rights normally belong to the person who entered into the purchase contract.

Accordingly, where a product was purchased as a gift, we may require the original purchaser to exercise the applicable cancellation right.

This does not affect any rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods.

33. Proof of Purchase

We may request reasonable evidence that the product was purchased from Mond Diamonds.

This may include:

  • order number;

  • purchase confirmation;

  • invoice;

  • payment record; or

  • other reasonable evidence of purchase.

This does not remove statutory rights where alternative reasonable evidence can establish the purchase.

34. Our Liability for Returned Goods

Where you are responsible for returning goods, you remain responsible for the goods until they are received by Mond Diamonds or the return destination we have specifically provided.

For high-value goods, we strongly recommend using an appropriately insured and tracked service.

Where applicable law places responsibility for the goods or return transportation on Mond Diamonds, we will comply with those requirements.

36. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Returns & Refunds Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, business practices or applicable legislation.

The version published on our website will be the current version.

Any change will not retrospectively remove statutory rights that applied to an order placed before the change.
